Vineyard Update

Like most of the vineyards in Tennessee and the entire Southeast and Midwest, the freeze of Easter, 2007, took a devastating toll on our vines.  We are planning to replant most of our varieties in the spring of 2008.  However, we will still be making quality wine from grapes purchased from other areas of the country that were not effected by the weather.

January 21, 2008

We have purchased our replacement vines for mid-April delivery and will be planting about 1200 new Cabernet Sauvignon and Touriga Nacional vines.  We will be retraining our Traminette and Chambourcin and increasing our Chambourcin plantings with cuttings.
